Give More Love

"Well if it's love that you want I've got love that I can give. I'll give you love love love." -Ringo Starr, Liverpool 8 2008

Ringo Starr offers his love in numerous ways, including campaigning with his signature saying,"Peace and Love" and his charming, animated appetite for music. Starr is most recognized as one of the four walls that held up The Beatles, backing his ex-band mates John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison from 1962 - 1970. He has provided the world with his hokey, classic songs and covers such as, "Yellow Submarine", "You're Sixteen", and "It Don't Come Easy" and currently has become a new member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015, not to mention being honored with The Beatles with The Grammy's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014. While on a good streak throughout these past years, including releasing six solo albums in the 2000s alone, the lovable drummer is ready to spread his message of love and his passion for music once again with his newest album Give More Love.

Announced on Ringo's 77th birthday, Give More Love will be his nineteenth solo album and an album that will go down notablely in his career. Solo maybe the brand of the album but Starr did not record it alone instead he brought in an all star team, recording songs with other remarkable musicians lending their talent in both vocals, instruments and helping in the songwriting process. Former and current All-Starr band members, Peter Frampton, Steve Lukather, Timothy B. Schmit, Joe Walsh, and Edgar Winter all participated in this record as well as Electric Light Orchestra and Traveling Wilbury founder, Jeff Lynne and fellow Beatle Sir Paul McCartney who also contributed in the process.

The album consists of the following ten tracks;

  1. We're on The Road Again (Starkey-Lukather)
  2. Laughable (Starkey- Frampton)
  3. Show Me The Way (Starkey -Lukather)
  4. Speed Of Sound (Starkey - Marx)
  5. Standing Still (Starkey - Burr)
  6. King Of The Kingdom (Starkey-Parks)
  7. Electricity (Starkey- Parks)
  8. So Wrong for So Long (Starkey- Stewart)
  9. Shake it Up (Starkey-Nicholson)
  10. Give More Love (Starkey- Nicholson)
Being released in just a few hours, on 15 September, 2017 Give More Love  will be an album of peace, love, and Starr's contiguous optimism.

Album review will be out shortly, as I personally have not been able to listen to it.
